A Typical Cell Group Meeting
Our cell groups start with an informal time to
chat and catch up with each other. The purpose of the groups are
to encourage each other to grow in relationship with God and to reach
out to others in our community. They also provide an opportunity
for us to get to know each other better and to support each other with
prayer.
The meetings themselves usually follow the typical cell model.
Welcome
An icebreaker question to encourage everyone in the group to talk and
to help us learn more about each other.
Worship
A time of worship to recognise why we meet together, to encourage us
all to put God on the throne of our lives, to thank Him for all He has
done for us and to invite Him to come and be with us.
Word
We usually discuss the practical implications of the teaching we
received on Sunday morning, to help us to digest and implement the
teaching on a weekly basis.
Works
This is a time to look outside our group and our church
community. We might use this time to pray for others around the
world, issues in our local community, friends, our personal witness and
church evangelism.
